wish for more intensive animation features
Hi,
I'm working on something that I think you'll like.
Hi Sir John,
I wish you will strengthen the animation feature on Chasys Draw.
Frames, Timeline and layers features similar to adobe flash will be veeeery goood if implemented in next release of Chasys Draw.
And tons of thanks for this superb software.

Hi Torif,
Something similar to Timeline is now in "work in progress" status.
Hello from Russia, John! First, I'd like to thank you for your software. It's really nice.
As for wish, I'd like an improved grid snapping. I don't know, may be this feature is already included, but I don't see any snapping for brushes and path's control points...
Hi,
Thanks, glad to know you like it. I've made the necessary changes, snap-to-grid will now affect all tools.
ability to correct converging verticals & etc in imaged
hi chassys, my acer laptop runs on vista starter, i wonder if my machine is capable of doing the cd labeling online? thanks!also i wish that chassys draw ies can run fully and greatly even on some old machine
Hi,
Chasys Draw IES will run fine on Vista Starter. As for the CD Labelling, it should work okay as long as you have a LightScribe-capable CD/DVD burner and you've installed the LightScribe System Software.
On old machines -- I put a lot of effort into optimizing Chasys Draw IES so that it runs as efficiently as possible; additionally, I always try to make each new version run a bit faster than its predecessor on existing hardware. As long as you keep it up to date, Chasys Draw IES will give you reasonable performance even if your computer is a bit old.
An Tutorial for text on path. Cannot configure how it works.
Not a wish, just a huge THANK YOU for asking CNET not to pack it as part of their installer. I REFUSE to use that site, and any others that rebundle software with extra, malware, spyware, crapware, irritatingware and x@*%^$-ware. Sadly it's becoming a bad habit of major file repositories.
Again, thanks you very much. Well done!!!!!!!

Thanks!
I forgot one tool I would like to see.
10. An eraser with a configurable 'blend edge to transparent' and 'Blend to background' feature.
The blend to transparent eraser would be used to detect color, blend, and then soften a configurable amount of pixels from the edge to transparency. It would help a lot with merging multiple cut-out photo elements into a realistic whole.
The blend to background would do the same thing, except that instead of softening to transparent, it would soften the color to the background color, no matter what the background color currently is as it probably will change in a photo from region to region.
Hi,
I've implemented something similar as the Edge Treatment Tool; please try it out and tell me what you think.
Chasys Draw IES: I would like to see a few tools.
1. A gradient fill tool.
2. An 'Open Project' option at startup.
3. Clickable Foreground/Background blocks on color palette.
4. An 'Actual Size' feature under 'view' that will show the layer at it's true size in relation to the screen.
5. A 'Merge' button on the layer window to speed up the process dramatically.
6. User modifiable, dockable ribbon bar(s) for tools and functions used constantly.
7. Tooltips that, when turned off, they stay off when Chasys Draw next loaded.
8. A 'Reset' to factory settings button for the palette.
Now, for the hard one...
9. The ability to load and use GIMP plugins.
Notes so far... Chasys Draw IES is the most powerful and useful free Drawing software available. Yes, I have used GIMP and Paint.net, but am not that impressed with either. In comparison to Photoshop, Chasys Draw IES is the most powerful free option.
1. ** This exists as the Full-page Gradients Tool.
2. ** Noted, will consider adding this.
3. ?? What should they do when clicked?
4. ** Will be available in the next version, for both the main window and the preview window.
5. ** Noted, will consider adding this.
6. ** The current user interface doesn't support this, but I'll keep this in mind.
7. ** Will be available in the next version.
8. ** This exists as the Load Default button (button with circular arrow).
9. ** That's a tough one. However, it has been on my "to do" list for a while now and I'll continue working on it.

Hi,
Thank you for the report, I'll work on it.
simple step to take color out of photo, to turn it into a coloring page.
Hi,
Adjustments -> Greyscale with Tint -> OK
It defaults to the standard BW formular (30/59/11)
Hi, I use a CAD program and it has some extremely useful facilities, parallel lines, lines at set angles etc.
Have you any plans to include CAD-like tools?
I'm afraid not, Chasys Draw IES is intended to be an image editor, so CAD features are not on the roadmap
more shadow options: to left, to up...
extrude figures as 3d
gradients for a determined area, not just for the entire layer
many autoshapes,as stars with 3-6 pointers, arrows...
posibility to insert copied text from msword for example
different size/character/color of text in the same layer
posibility to resize layers dragging the margins/corners
thank tou very much, it is anyway a very good program
[shadows/extrude/gradient] -- will see what I can do
[stars] -- this features exists, you can do 3-1024 points, use "level" setting
[copied text] -- this features exists
[different text in same layer] -- will see what I can do
[resize layers by dragging] -- feature exists, use "resize" tool
I would really prefer to be able to change the default from pixels to inches in Chasys Draw IES.
In the new image dialog or elsewhere? Kindly clarify via email, the address is support@jpchacha.com.
I have been looking for a program and almost found it in yours, Chasys Draw, the only thing that I wished it had was the option to email the altered graphic to another person so they can see the results and may have a suggestion/improvement and can email it back to you or even just be able to email/upload to someone or place. For me, that would make it just perfect, but by all means it in it's present state is about perfect compared to other offerings I have seen so far.

Hi,
Two feature wishes for Chasys Draw -
A Watermark Feature.
B While resizing an image, Chasys draw has some default size presets. I would like to be able to save custom size presets and have them show up along with the default size presets. I could then make a Facebook front cover graphic and apply a custom Facebook resize preset to the image as an example.
Keep up the good work.
Hi,
(A) I'll see what I can do to make this easier, but not that you can currently add watermarks using layer transparency and blending modes.
(B) I'm working on this, the feature will be available in the next version.
Hello!! I'd like to try suggesting something novel. How about pushing a little harder on the basic video editing and play back capabilities. I'm talking basic things like video sequencing, copy, and paste. You already have...
1.Video Screen Capture
2.Video cropping, optimization and rate conversion
I'd like to see the IES viewer capable of displaying video and at any point go back into the editor and tinker a bit(nothing major: on the scale of Movie maker). I feel it would fit into your commitment to
Character: No photoshop imitations here.
Performance: Fast, efficient and stable.
Innovation: New techniques and out-of-the-box thinking.
It would also give you a little breathing room to toy with other aspects of the tool and further differentiate it from others.
Side note: Do you ever go to the computing/programming/artist area of nairaland.com? It's suppose to be a Nigerian site but there are Africans from all over there(African American myself) You can find some good talent to converse with and let folks know about your tool especially the folks in the art section. I try to mention your tool when I can I love it.
Thanks and Good luck!!
